As I’ve mentioned before, family is the most important aspect of my life. I may not be the world’s best Facebook friend but I was thrilled when I got an email from a long lost colleague Julia from my Cossette Atlantic (ad agency) days. She was coming into town from Montreal with her family for a visit and we set up a date for a Family Photo Shoot. We had grandiose (new word?) plans to shoot by the beach but it was SUPER windy that day so we decided that the Public Gardens was a perfect place to take the kids and enjoy the summer afternoon & have some fun.
Julia doesn’t realize this but she once helped me during a very challenging time in my life when my father-in-law passed away. She came into my office one day shortly after he had passed and said “the heart has a powerful way of mending itself even though it may feel like it’s broken forvever…” and those few words although painful at the time and even now 6 years later really hit a chord that I have never really felt before.
Julia – you have a beautiful family and I appreciate your friendship more than words can explain. This is for you – just a small teaser of more fun family shots to come… and a wish for health, laughter, happiness and adventure to you and your family!
